At Bear Walker Guitars, we don’t mass produce anything. We utilize a single-luthier building process that is highly focused, painstakingly lengthy, and incredibly attentive to detail. From hand selecting raw lumber to applying finishing touches, the whole process is executed by a single luthier.

That’s not to say we don’t use the latest technology, because we do. Our process is a perfect melding of computerized precision and hand-crafted uniqueness. Each instrument is carefully guided through the production process and is closely monitored for the utmost in quality design, materials, and craftsmanship.

Each Bear Walker instrument is a one-of-a-kind, hand crafted work of art that is designed for visual beauty, amazing playability, and unparalleled sound quality. 

For the Stock model, we use African Mahogany and Shedua for our exclusive checkerboard tops. The vertical centerline stripe is made of nine ply American Maple alternately dyed black and natural. The center layer is all natural nine ply American Maple. The back is bookmatched African Mahogany.

Our custom thirteen piece necks are premium Flame Maple with a core of nine ply American Maple alternately dyed black and natural sandwiched between two layers of Red Zebrawood.

The headstock is capped with a custom layer of African Mahogany and Shedua checkerboard to match the body. The fingerboard is a gorgeous African Ebony. 

Our exclusive design, attention to detail, top-quality materials, and unmatched craftsmanship make each Bear Walker guitar a one-of-a-kind work of art.

Due to our single-luthier build process, each build takes approximately 2 to 4 weeks to go from rough lumber to ready-to-ship.

Bear Walker Guitars utilizes only the finest quality hardware and electronics. An extensive search of the market lead us to the highest quality, best sounding, and most aesthetically suitable components.

We are proud to use Fishman Fluence active single width pickups. Other hardware components are provided by highly regarded names like Sperzel, Wilkinson/ Gotoh, CLR, Switchcraft, TUSQ, Electrosocket, ProRock Gear, and D’Addario.

Bear Walker skateboards are custom-made from premium nine-ply American Maple. Unfortunately, not every blank is up to the exacting standards of our custom-carved skate decks.

When a blank is rejected from our skateboard production process, we do not allow this high-quality material to go to waste. Skate blanks that are visually imperfect for our custom skateboards are utilized as the center layer of our custom guitar bodies.

In addition to reducing waste, we feel this adds unparalleled strength and a sonic brightness that blends beautifully with the solid checkerboard top and solid Mahogany back.

While the Bear Walker guitar is instantly recognizable as a highly customized take on a legendary electric guitar design, our stock model definitely has its own unique personality.

Simultaneously familiar yet new, the guitar is a satisfying blend of classic feel and fresh aesthetics. The exclusive dual point body provides an amazingly stable base when resting the guitar against your amp during set or session breaks.
